Lagos, Nigeria – April 28, 2026
In a glamorous celebration of creativity, skincare, and digital storytelling, CeraVe Africa successfully hosted the inaugural CerAwards 2026 (CeramoVE Edition), shining a bright spotlight on Nigeria’s booming creator economy. The event, held on April 23, 2026, at Jewel Aieda in Lekki Phase I, Lagos, rewarded top content creators with all-expense-paid trips to Paris and over ₦12 million in prizes.

Nigeria was chosen as the launchpad for the CerAwards Africa 2026 due to its vibrant digital creator scene and the strong distribution network and market presence of Konga Health, CeraVe’s strategic retail partner. The partnership underscored Konga’s commitment to supporting Nigerian talent and the creator ecosystem.
Celebrating Creativity with a Nollywood Twist
The awards invited Nigerian content creators to participate in the #CeraMoVE Challenge, where they recreated iconic Nollywood scenes incorporating CeraVe skincare products. With over 800 submissions, a public voting phase on cerawards.com.ng selected 24 finalists who attended the star-studded gala.
The evening featured a fashionable “blue carpet,” celebrity appearances (including Nollywood stars), and recognition across multiple categories such as Best Original Content, Best Viral Video, Cera-Slay, Cera-larious, and more. Notable winners included:

Perpetua Ugwuegede, Boluwatife Lawal, and Iyanuoluwa Sowemimo — who earned all-expense-paid trips to France (Paris) for exposure to the global beauty industry.
Beryl Inegbenose — Best Original Content.
President Shaks (Joseph Momoh) — Best Viral Video.

Other standout creators took home cash prizes, with some categories awarding up to ₦2 million in content creation gear or cash, plus additional recognitions like Best Dressed.
The event also honoured Nollywood veterans and jury members, blending legacy storytelling with modern digital content creation.
Konga Health played a pivotal role as the primary retail and distribution partner, making CeraVe products widely accessible across its platforms and stores. The partnership enabled creators and consumers to easily purchase CeraVe products while participating in the challenge. Konga’s involvement highlighted its dedication to health, beauty, and empowering Nigeria’s digital economy.
Industry observers see the CerAwards as a significant boost for Nigeria’s creator economy, providing not just monetary rewards and international exposure but also validation for content creators who are increasingly shaping culture, beauty trends, and brand narratives across Africa.
A Global Stage for Nigerian Talent
CeraVe, the world’s No. 1 dermatologist-recommended skincare brand, used the platform to affirm its commitment to the African market while bridging local creativity with global opportunities. Winners’ trips to Paris will connect them with international creators and beauty professionals, potentially opening doors for future collaborations.
The successful inaugural edition has set a high bar for future CerAwards, positioning Nigeria as a key hub in Africa’s beauty and creator economy.
CeraVe is a dermatologist-developed skincare brand known for its effective, science-backed formulas featuring three essential ceramides that help restore the skin’s protective barrier.
Konga on the other hand is one of Nigeria’s leading e-commerce platforms. Through Konga Health, it provides convenient access to quality healthcare, beauty, and wellness products.
