Nigeria’s legal profession has recorded a historic milestone as Olamide Mojigbotoluwa Ehinfun-Adekunle has been elevated to the Inner Bar, becoming the youngest female Senior Advocate of Nigeria in history.

At 40, she has attained the prestigious rank of Silk, a title reserved for lawyers who have distinguished themselves through exceptional advocacy, integrity and contribution to the development of law.
Ehinfun-Adekunle, MCIArb, is a Partner at the renowned law firm Afe Babalola & Co. (Emmanuel Chambers). With over 14 years of legal practice, she has built a reputation in complex litigation, commercial dispute resolution, strategic legal advisory and international arbitration.
Her journey to the Inner Bar is backed by a strong academic and professional foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Trade Law from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

Before joining Afe Babalola & Co. as a Partner in September 2013, she worked at D. D. Dodo & Co. and served at the Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organisation.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria rank is the highest distinction in the Nigerian legal profession, conferred on advocates of the Supreme Court who have demonstrated outstanding legal ability and leadership. Ehinfun-Adekunle’s elevation at 40 breaks a long-standing ceiling and sets a powerful precedent for young women across the Bar and beyond.
Her achievement is being celebrated as more than a personal win. It is an inspiring signal to the next generation of female lawyers that the highest levels of the profession are within reach.
