South African media queen Bonang Matheba has been repping Nigerian fashion on some of the biggest stages — and she does it flawlessly.
Popularly known as Queen B, Bonang has stepped out in custom looks by top Nigerian designers Sheye Oladejo, Veekee James and Emagine By Bukola for major hosting duties, proving once again that Nigerian glam is taking over Africa’s red carpets.
1. Sheye Oladejo for Miss Cosmo
Styled by Dahmola, Bonang turned heads in a custom strapless gown by Sheye Oladejo. The dress was a blend of cobalt, sky blue, turquoise and silver, with an asymmetrical neckline and a dramatic cascading fringe hem that brought movement to the look.
2. Veekee James for Miss South Africa 2024 Finale
For the Miss South Africa 2024 grand finale, Bonang chose Veekee James. The designer delivered a jewel-toned masterpiece — a deep forest-green beaded bodice with a plunging neckline, flowing into a teal draped hip and full skirt. The mix of structure and soft drape made it a standout moment.
3. Emagine By Bukola for Miss Cosmo
For another Miss Cosmo appearance, Bonang went bold in Emagine By Bukola. The brand created a red and gold floor-length gown with sculptural wing-like shoulders, sheer illusion sleeves and a pleated skirt — a perfect balance of architecture and elegance.
