The star stepped out looking absolutely radiant in a stunning navy blue beaded halter gown by renowned designer Toju Foyeh. The intricate beading and elegant silhouette perfectly accentuated her figure, exuding timeless glamour with a modern edge. Styled by Zack Styling, her look was completed with flawless makeup by Peace Ibadin MUA and gorgeous hair by Tinus Place (styled by Adefunkeee). Photographer Ayo Makinwa captured the moment beautifully.

Funke didn’t just turn heads with her fashion — she also received the Nollywood Recognition Award (also referred to as the Nollywood Icon Award) during the star-studded gala night.

In a heartfelt and nostalgic acceptance speech, she shared powerful words of resilience:

“Distraction will come but I’ll dust it off and I will move on… I’m not stopping, I’m not slowing down.”

She dedicated the award to her loyal fans and emphasized the importance of learning from those who have gone ahead in the creative industry. As a jury member for the event, her presence added even more prestige to the night.

The CerAwards 2026, themed The CeramoVE Edition, celebrated Nigerian content creators, with finalists competing for prizes including cash awards and an exclusive trip to France. The event highlighted the evolution of Nollywood storytelling and skin confidence through CeraVe’s skincare ethos.

Fans flooded social media with praise for Funke’s look, with many calling it “gorgeous,” “elegant,” and “queen energy personified.” She even brought her signature energy to the dance floor, proving once again that she knows how to light up any room.

From box office dominance to red carpet slay and award recognition, Funke Akindele continues to set the bar high in Nollywood and beyond. This appearance at the CerAwards is yet another reminder of why she remains one of Africa’s most beloved and influential entertainers.
