Kucheza Gaming, in partnership with Ukie Digital Schoolhouse and Nintendo UK, recently held a transformative Teachers’ Ingenuity Day aimed at introducing game-based learning methodologies to public school educators in Lagos State. The event saw participation from 36 teachers representing 24 schools in District IV, providing them with innovative teaching strategies for computing concepts.
In light of the challenges posed by limited access to technology and computing education in schools, Kucheza Gaming’s Ingenuity Day focused on the acclaimed Playful Computing Curriculum. This hands-on, unplugged program teaches computational thinking without the need for immediate access to computers, empowering educators to make STEM education more engaging and accessible to all students, regardless of available technology.

A key highlight of the day was the launch of the Kucheza Teachers Track, a long-term initiative designed to provide continuous professional development through mentorship, resources, and specialized workshops. This program aims to sustain teacher growth and promote the incorporation of digital literacy into everyday teaching practices.
Moving forward, selected teachers will initiate Playful Computing workshops in their respective schools, directly bringing game-based learning to their students.
