Blessing Nze Breaks Down in Tears After Dropping Jayden Off For First Day of School

By Prosper Mene

Nollywood actress and producer Blessing Nze had her big “school-mum” moment today, and it hit her harder than she expected.

While her son Jayden walked into class like a boss on his first day, Blessing couldn’t hold back the tears the moment she left him.

The day started with good vibes. Blessing documented everything, packing Jayden’s lunchbox, getting him dressed, and heading out with her husband, award-winning actor Stan Nze. They called him “Jay Bobo” in the video as they walked him into his new classroom.

The proud parents made sure he was comfortable. They met his teacher, checked his seat, and watched him settle in.

But here’s the twist: Jayden was totally fine. No tears. No clinging. The little boy jumped right into greeting his teacher and classmates like he’d been there for months. He looked more excited to make new friends than worried about his parents leaving.

The moment Blessing and Stan got back into the car was when it hit her.

Sitting in the passenger seat, tissue in hand, Blessing broke down. The reality of leaving Jayden at school for the whole day finally set in and she admitted how hard it felt to be away from him.

Stan, tried to comfort her. He was smiling gently and cracking little jokes, trying not to laugh while calming his wife down. The contrast was relatable to many parents, while Jayden was busy adjusting to school, his mum was in the car having a full emotional moment.

Blessing shared the moment online and it quickly went viral.

Other celebrity mums flooded the comments with support:

– Toolz said she also wanted to take her son back home on his first day

– Osas Ighodaro welcomed Blessing to the “school mums club”

– Ini Dima-Okojie also reacted to the video

Fans couldn’t stop talking about how unbothered Jayden looked compared to his emotional mum. A lot of first-time school mums said they felt the exact same way — the excitement, the goodbye, and then the sudden quiet in the car hits different.

In the end, Jayden was more than ready for his school adventure. It was Mummy Blessing who needed a little more time to adjust to her new “school-mum era”.
