The wait is almost over.
Award-winning filmmaker Funke Akindele has released the first images from her highly anticipated new feature, “The Four: No One Fights Alone”, ahead of its global cinema release on December 11, 2026.

Produced by Funke Akindele Network [FAAN TV] and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, the film marks Akindele’s next big chapter — and if her track record is anything to go by, Nigerian cinemas are in for another record-breaker.
“The Four” is an emotionally charged drama centered on friendship, courage, and resilience.
The story follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women who leave their community for the city to fight for the future of a young man they love. What starts as a mission of love becomes a journey that tests their faith, loyalty, and courage in ways they never expected.
Culture, Fashion, and Music at the Core
With “The Four,” Akindele blends storytelling with Nigerian heritage.
The film’s styling leans heavily on Adire, giving it a distinct visual identity rooted in culture. An original song is also woven into the narrative, extending the film’s reach into music and fashion.

From language and tradition to locations and costumes, these elements give “The Four” a cultural texture while opening new entry points into the story.

An All-Star Ensemble
The film boasts one of Nollywood’s most powerful casts to date:
Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo [RMD], Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan, and Wunmi Toriola.
It also features award-winning singer Waje and Afrobeat star Shoday, alongside entertainers Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho, and Ayomide Iwasokun.

Funke Akindele: Nollywood’s Box Office Force
Akindele continues to redefine what’s possible for African cinema. As director and producer of Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa, and Behind The Scenes, she holds the title of Nigeria’s highest-grossing filmmaker.
Her films have repeatedly rewritten box office history and expanded Nollywood’s global reach.

Through FAAN TV, Akindele’s 360-degree production house, her films have grossed over ₦5.2 billion, cementing her as both a creative and commercial powerhouse committed to telling authentic African stories at world-class quality.
