The newlywed wife of Aboy Chibuzor, the non-verbal autistic young man adopted and raised by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has addressed public speculation about her background, confirming she is a widow and mother of three.

In a video interview posted on Monday by the cleric on his Facebook page, the bride – who remains unnamed in public reports – spoke candidly when asked about her marital history.

β€œI am not a virgin, I am a mother of three; the father of my children is late,” she stated clearly.

She added that she is from Edo State and was raised in Rivers State, her mother’s state of origin.

The clarification came just hours after the couple’s wedding on Sunday, March 29, 2026, which had already drawn intense public debate and criticism.

Apostle Chinyere had earlier sought a wife for Aboy, a young man abandoned as a child at the church gate and raised under the pastor’s care – promising substantial support for the union. The package included a ₦10 million wedding gift, a free house, an overseas vacation, and ₦20 million after 10 years if Aboy remains alive, among other donations from church members (including ₦1 million and ₦200,000 from individuals).

Aboy, who is non-verbal and requires full-time assistance with daily activities such as feeding and bathing, was described by the pastor as needing dedicated companionship and care.

The initial announcement caused widespread backlash, with many describing the arrangement as inappropriate and potentially demeaning to women. Apostle Chinyere later issued an apology, stating he β€œcan never degrade any woman.”

Despite the controversy, the wedding proceeded on Sunday at the church. In a Facebook update, the pastor shared photos of the couple and expressed strong optimism.

β€œAboy CHIBUZOR finally marries today 29 March 2026,” he wrote. β€œA single woman of God. 10 million Naira wedding gift. Free house. Overseas vacation. And 20 million Naira after 10 years if Aboy still alive. And many more gift loading…”

He further noted positive developments: β€œA miracle has already started as Aboy is now feeding himself without someone feeding him. And I believe before 6 months GOD will heal and he will begin to speak. THERE IS NOTHING GOD CAN NOT DO.”

The bride’s direct response in the new video appears aimed at dispelling rumours about her suitability as a partner, particularly questions around her age and virginity that circulated online after the wedding photos surfaced.

The story has generated significant attention on social media, with reactions ranging from support for the pastor’s humanitarian efforts to continued scepticism about the circumstances of the marriage.

This development comes amid Apostle Chinyere’s long-standing reputation for charitable works through OPM, including caring for abandoned and vulnerable individuals.

Further updates on the couple’s life together are expected as the pastor continues to document Aboy’s progress publicly.
