Veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo jubiliates as she bags Doctorate degree in Literature

Actress Hilda Dokunbo has taken to her Instagram page as she jubilates bagging a Doctorate Degree in literature.

Weeks after Helen Paul bagged a PHD degree, Hilda Dokubo has been conferred with a Doctorate degree in Literature.

 

Hilda Dokubo can now be addressed as a Doctor of Literature in Leadership and Human development.

 

The degree is to honor the actress for her selfless works in leadership and human development in the country.

 

The degree was awarded by the Institute Suprereur of Technologies Et De Management.

 

Sharing the good news, Hilda Dokubo advised her fans to keep doing their works.

 

According to her, they can never know who is watching them.

 

“KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS WATCHING. WELL…THIS IS MORE IMPORTANCE ONE IN THE BAG. HAVE A BLESSED DAY PEOPLE”.

Nollywood diva actress Osas Ighodaro has taken to her Instagram page to celebrate her daughter’s birthday as she clocks 6.

Popular Nollywood Actress, Chinedu Bernard Dies In Church.

Nollywood actress Chinedu Bernard was confirmed dead in the late hours of Friday 29th of April 2022 in Enugu state.

According to reports, she slumped while cleaning the chapel of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church inside federal housing area in Enugu state.

Efforts were made by Reverend father Uchendu Chukwuma, one of the Reverend fathers in the church and other members in rushing her to the hospital but all proved abortive as the popular actress fondly called Choco was declared dead by Doctors.

The late “The last manhood” star’s body has been deposited in the morgue whilst her cause of death remains unknown.

The late actress has featured in multiple Nollywood movies such as The regret, The last manhood, Big Mama’s stick, Royal bracelet, money fever amongst others.

Meet Adedoja Adeyemi: The Best Unilag Master’s Graduating Student

Adeyemi Adedoja the daughter of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, has emerged as the best graduating student in her master’s class at the University of Lagos.

The good news of the princess’ feat was shared on social media as thousands of people gathered to celebrate.

Adedoja Adeyemi bagged a Master of Arts Degree in African and Diaspora Studies from the University of Lagos with a distinction and as the best graduating student from her class.

She had a CGPA of 4.63 (distinction) in the MA programme. This made Doja the first student to graduate with distinction from the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies since its establishment in 2017.

Meet Shatu Garko The First Muslim To Become Miss Nigeria 2021

An 18-year-old Hijabi Shatu Garko has become the first Muslim to win the Miss Nigeria pageant since its inception in 1957.

Garko, who hails from Kano State, was crowned the 44th Miss Nigeria after beating 17 other finalists at an event on Friday, December 17, 2022, in Lagos. She was also the youngest contestant this year, winning N10m, a one-year residency at a luxury apartment, a brand new car and brand ambassadorship opportunities.

Speaking shortly before being crowned Miss Nigeria Garko said, “Winning this competition means a lot to me. I have always wanted to be a Miss Nigeria. I’d like to thank Miss Nigeria and its sponsors. I would also like to thank my mum for supporting and loving me.

Garko had earlier stated that she loves riding horses and is passionate about proving that religion and culture are not barriers to following one’s dreams.

Nicole Ikot was the first runner-up, while Kasarachi Okoro emerged the second runner-up. The winner of the 2020 edition of the pageant, Etsanyi Tukura, was present to hand over the crown to her successor at the ceremony.

According to the organisers, thousands of applications were submitted before it was pruned down to the top 37 and an additional three wildcard semi-finalists. Members of the public were also given a chance to contribute to the process of choosing the 21 finalists who made it into the Miss Nigeria Bootcamp, which was further cut down to the top 18 finalists.

Agbani Darego marks 20th anniversary of winning Miss World

She made this announcement on her verified Instagram page, where she shared the video of herself when she was crowned 20 years ago.

In the caption, the model stated that she was grateful for the experience.

She said, “20 years today! Forever thankful for the experience @missworld.”

Agbani broke into global consciousness when she became the first native African to win the Miss World beauty pageant in 2001.

Before then, she had won national beauty pageants such as Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.

At the Miss Universe competition, she became the first Nigerian to place among the top 10 semi-finalists, finishing seventh overall.

She was also the only contestant to wear a maillot (one-piece bathing suit) as opposed to a bikini during the swimsuit competition.

Agbani was also known to have negotiated a modelling deal with Donald Trump’s management to establish links with modelling agencies in America.

The former University of Port Harcourt student later enrolled at the New York University where she studied Psychology, graduating in May 2012.

In 2017, Agbani married billionaire Theophilus Danjuma’s first son, Ishaya, in a private ceremony, held at the Amanjena Luxury Resort in Marrakech, Morocco.
